Meirav Peled-Barzilay, Israel
Meirav Peled-Barzilay is a graduating student of Holonsky technological Institute. She founded her own studio in one year after graduation. She is interested in experiments with materials and new ways of using it, traditional sciences and their role in today life of series production. She is inspired to search the limits of design understanding. Between her creations - one deliberately rumpled lampshade of nonwoven material – Tyvek. It is sold rumpled in a ball and consumer can makes any kind of shape. Or there are ceramic vases with pleats like on old leather, carpet of felt fibers (some of them are so long that it’s possible to use it like a blanket. These objects were published in different design magazines and exhibited on World festivals and design-shows.
